KEF Holdings Wins ‘Gulf Sustainability and CSR Award’ for Transformative Learning and Education Program in India

February 21st, 2017 Championed by the Faizal & Shabana Foundation, the Nadakkavu project initiative impacted thousands of students in Kerala

Dubai-UAE: 21, February, 2017 - KEF Holdings, the UAE-based multinational diversified group that specializes in innovative offsite manufacturing technology, has won the Gulf Sustainability and CSR Award for their interventions in providing the best learning and education program, through the Faizal and Shabana Foundation. The accolade recognized the company’s contribution to enhancing the quality of public education in India, especially in Kerala.

Competing against the region's most prominent companies from diverse industries, KEF Holdings won the award after the company’s Faizal and Shabana Foundation successfully overhauled the Government Vocational Higher Secondary School for Girls Nadakkavu in Calicut, Kerala. Their efforts have inspired 65 other schools in Kerala to adopt this innovative education model. Also, the Government of Kerala has decided to replicate the formula through its Mission 1,000 initiative.

The award was hosted by Bee’ah with International Humanitarian City and Dubai Carbon at Jumeirah Creekside Hotel in Dubai on February 15. It rewards organizations, companies and individuals implementing outstanding sustainability and CSR initiatives across the region with the aim of sharing best practice, and promoting continuous improvement, learning and personal development.
